I uploaded my movie to youtube because was not able to upload it onto the blog from my computer, had to add it to youtube and then create a link to the video..

REFLECTION
The term video editing refers to “the
process of re-arranging or modifying segments of video to form another piece of
video. The goals of video editing are the same as in film editing — the removal
of unwanted footage, or parts of video, the isolation of desired footage, and
the arrangement of footage in time to synthesize a new piece of footage.”
(Socalwebworx, 2012)
In portfolio piece 6 titled Video Editing we were required to create a 3-5 minute video
for any lesson, which should contain: music/audio, still pictures, title,
captions, appropriate credits, with animations and transitions included in the
movie which will be used for classroom instruction.
The movie/ video will be
used to introduce a lesson on Daily
Routine. It is intended to capture the students’ attention and introduce
the lesson in an interesting and fun way. The challenges experienced during the
course of creating this piece was acquiring suitable audio to import into the
movie. In order to rectify this issue I downloaded a youtube video with a song
about telling time in English and convert the video into a mp3 file using
youtube converter mp3, then downloaded a second audio file in Spanish and
record a third audio file title Adìos
(Goodbye) which is also in Spanish. The second challenge faced was during
the cost of posting video on the blog, the video would not upload, just
received an error message. I tried to upload the video three times with the
same result, an error message. In order to try to rectify the issue uploaded
the video to youtube and then inserted the link to the video into the post,
this allowed me to post the video to the blog.
The piece could be
improved by adding a video to the movie and importing audio files/ music which
are in Spanish, perhaps also adding a recording to the movie narrating the
story.
